Methane poisoning kills 2 workers in Jiading

METHANE poisoning killed two people and seriously injured two others in Jiading District today, xinmin.cn reported.
According to the report, four workers fell into the sluice after inhaling the toxic gas when repairing the water pump at a waste station in Jiading this morning.
All of them were sent to hospital after police and firemen were dispatched to the scene.
By 12pm, two repairmen were pronounced dead. The other two were still on critical condition.
A fireman felt sick during the rescue operation but he was in stable condition after receiving hospital treatment.
The incident is still under investigation.
