Missing city girl, 12, found 1,300km away in Xi'an with help from volunteers

A 12-year-old girl who ran away from her home in the Pudong New Area on Monday morning was found the next day in northwest China's Xi'an City, about 1,300 kilometers from Shanghai.
The girl, Lin Qingyang, was found by a local volunteer team at a long-distance bus station.
The parents reached the city on Tuesday evening and were shown a video of the girl by volunteer group Leiting Rescue Team and confirmed it was the missing girl.
The mother, Hu Yan, told Shanghai Daily that she was grateful to everyone who had reposted the missing information online and helped find her daughter.
"We haven't talked to her about why she ran away. We want to give her time to calm down and talk about it later," Hu told Shanghai Daily, adding that they will stay in Xi'an for a few days.
But Hu hinted it could be pressure from school as Lin had attempted to run away before too.
Lin's twin sister, who is studying in the same school, is good in her studies. Though the parents are not demanding, there is still pressure from relatives and schools, "and not from her twin sister."
Lin had a liver transplant when she was only 9 months old and did not take her medication along with her, which worried her parents.
According to Hu, her daughter left home at 6:40am on Monday, wearing her white pullover and blue school uniform, and carrying a black backpack. They reported to the police on Monday night.
Police found Lin had taken the D306 train from Shanghai Railway Station for Xi'an. From the surveillance footage, Lin was spotted at Xi'an north Railway Station at 8:37am the next day.
Lin, the younger one of a pair of twins, suffered from congenital biliary atresia 40 days after her birth. She had a liver transplant in 2015 with her mother donating a part of her liver to her daughter.
