Missing kid found at McDonald’s
A 13-YEAR-OLD boy who left home after a dispute with his father and went missing for four days was found in a McDonald’s store in Huangpu District yesterday, local police said.
The boy, surnamed Luo, who had discipline problems, was rebuked by his father for coming home late and for poor grades in schools on December 6. He ran away from home.
“We were watching surveillance videos in the day and searching for him in the night when it was more likely he wouldn’t move much,” the father said.
A notice posted by police on their microblog with Luo’s photo and descriptions caught the attention of the netizens and forwarded over 600 times.
After seeing the notice, two women identified the boy at a McDonald’s outlet and called his father. The boy was later taken to the local police station to be reunited with his parents.
