Missing schoolgirls sent home
THREE schoolgirls who were missing for five days after running away to Shanghai from their homes in neighboring Zhejiang Province have been found and returned to their families, police said yesterday.
The 15-year-olds, Yang Libei, Huang Ping and Jian Shijiang, who left Wenzhou on Saturday, were discovered by police in Minhang District on Wednesday night.
Officers from Wenzhou escorted them back to their families yesterday.
Police said two of the girls said they came to Shanghai to earn money for their families, while the third was escaping academic pressure.
On arriving by train in Shanghai, the girls went for a foot massage and one took a job at the parlor, said police.
