Missing toddler search

POLICE say they are trying to remain positive in the search for a toddler who went missing more than a week ago in Songjiang District.
Officers issued a city-wide appeal yesterday for information on the whereabouts of the 18-month-old boy, known as Xiaoyu, who went missing on September 15.
The boy was last seen playing in front of his house at noon on September 15 while his parents were doing housework, Shanghai Morning Post reported. Xiaoyu’s concerned parents paid workers 8,000 yuan (US$1,296) to search a nearby creek, though this turned up no sign of the boy.
