More aid at hand in Disneyland
TOURISTS who lose their belongings at Shanghai Disney Resort now have a better chance of getting them back.
More efficient help is the result of the resort and police working together to tackle lost and found items.
Police said they had returned about 180 objects including phones, wallets, identity cards and passports to people who had lost them from October 7 onwards.
Fu Xiaojun, head of the police at Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone, said information of missing objects reported from the tourists to the staff or the police is now immediately shared between the two parties, but that wasn’t the case previously.
“Police have more resources to do the job,” Fu said. “In many cases we have managed to find the owners of the lost objects within 24 hours.”
The coordination also applies to other parts of the zone, where tourists have lost baby strollers and suitcases among other items, police said.
They added that all lost objects, once in the hands of the police, would be recorded in their database online http://www.police.sh.cn/shga/vZswwh/index with the content and the location where they were found.
This feature, however, is available only in Chinese presently.
