More phishing scams

THE number of complaints about phishing scams related to loyalty points offered by banks and mobile phone companies has risen steadily this year, police said. People complained mostly of being sent text messages directing them to websites that asked for their bank account details. In more than 80 percent of cases the victims were women, police said.
