More tomb-sweeping trains

SHANGHAI’S railway authority will increase its passenger capacity on selected routes to meet the expected increase in demand during next month’s tomb-sweeping day. High-speed trains will be added to the Shanghai-Suzhou and Shanghai-Wuxi routes, officials said. Tomb-sweeping day is on April 5 and the city’s three main railway stations expect to see 8.8 million passengers in the 40 days through April 19. A total of 385,000 passengers are forecast to travel by train from the three stations on April 5, matching this year’s Spring Festival peak.
