New start times for subway

THE city’s Metro operators yesterday announced changes to selected services on Lines 7 and 16, all of which take effect tomorrow.
On Line 7, the first southbound train from Meilan Lake will leave at 5:30am, instead of 6am previously. This will have a knock-on effect on the times of the first trains from all stations between Meilan Lake and Gucun Park, Shanghai Shentong Metro Group said.
For southbound stations beyond Gucun Park, the timetable will be unchanged.
The last southbound train will leave Meilan Lake Station at 10:15pm, instead of 10pm, and the last northbound train will leave Huamu Road at 10:30pm, instead of 10pm.
Also from tomorrow, the first westbound trains from Huinan and Xinchang stations on Line 16 will depart at 6:15am, instead of 6:24am and 6:34am previously.
