Official’s meal warning

AN official with the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences was given a warning for using public funds on a hotel meal, violating the central government code against corruption, local disciplinary authorities said yesterday. Sun Fuqing, director of the academy’s institute of national economy, spent 4,068 yuan (US$662) on the meal on September 2. He was also ordered to pay the money back.
