Parrot seller sent to prison

A MAN who tried to sell a scarlet macaw has been sentenced to two months in prison and fined 5,000 yuan (US$780), a court said yesterday.
The man had owned the bird, which is a protected species, for three years, but decided to sell it online. When police saw the advert they arrested him.
