Payout for dog bite victim

A CHEMICAL firm in Jiading District has been ordered to pay 129,344 yuan (US$20,850) in compensation to a man who was attacked last November by a Tibetan Mastiff while visiting the company’s premises on business. The victim suffered bites to his arms and legs when the dog attacked. The Jiading District Court ruled the company had breached safety laws and had failed to register the animal.
