THIS year's peach blossom festival in the Pudong New Area begins on Friday. The festival will be at five sites - Datuan, Nanhui, Xinchang, Binhai and Heqing peach blossom gardens.
The Heqing garden, which has organic peaches, will be joining the festival for the first time, the Shanghai Tourism Administration said. Local specialties, such as watermelon, rice cakes and chicken will be available during the festival, which runs until April 13.
