THE Zhabei District People's Court yesterday ordered Hu Yilin, a landlord who installed cameras to peep at female tenants, to pay 5,000 yuan (US$731) in compensation for mental anguish to his victims.
Two women rented a room on Haining Road from Hu in September 2007. Three months later, the tenants found Hu had installed four cameras in the kitchen and near the bathroom.
