Pilot trial of connection service for Bus 71 starts

SIXTEEN buses with doors on both sides of the body will begin a trial service soon to make it easier for passengers of Bus No. 71, which runs below Yan’an Elevated Road, to transfer to other buses, said the bus company involved.
These buses will begin service on Bus No. 1250 and 1251, which are branch lines of Bus No. 71.
Until this month, passengers of Bus No. 71 have had to get off the bus and walk across Yan’an Road or use a pedestrian overpass to take other buses.
The new buses will resolve this issue. Bus No. 1250 and Bus No. 1251 will call at the Kaixuan Road bus stop like Bus No. 71 to ensure the smooth transfer of Bus No. 71 passengers.
The new buses will open their doors on the right side as usual, except on Kaixuan Road when they pick up passengers from Bus No. 71. Then the doors on the left side will be opened because there is no exit on the right side there.
