Almost all of the 175 postboxes whose QR code plates were damaged or removed recently have been fitted with new ones, a postal worker said yesterday.
The replacements were attached to the boxes with silica gel meaning they will be harder to remove or damage, the person said. The QR codes, which were fitted to 2,805 postboxes, are central to a new 24-hour courier service launched by Shanghai Post last week.
