Prostitutes cry rape to get gold necklace back from customer

TWO prostitutes filed false charges of rape against a man to get a gold necklace back from him, police said on Monday.
The women, who are sisters surnamed Che, approached the Hengmian Police Station in Pudong last month and claimed that a man raped them in a hotel in Kangqiao Town by threatening them with a dagger and robbed a necklace after that.
The elder sister is 20 years old, and the younger one 15.
Police caught the suspect but his WeChat messages with the two girls showed that he had known them for a while. But the 20-year-old man, surnamed Cheng, admitted that he had stolen the necklace from the girls and sold it for 2,800 yuan (US$412).
The girls then admitted that they had sex with the man and filed the charges to get their necklace back, police said.
The girls were handed 10 days of detention for prostitution while Cheng is facing criminal charges for theft.
