Rain, rain go away – but it won’t this week

AFTER a prolonged spell of dry and sunny days, it will be wet and cold this week.

Rain lashed the city last night as a weak cold front arrived.

Downpours are set to continue and will be heavy today. Also, temperatures will gradually fall, fluctuating between 14 and 17 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow should see a break from the rain. But it will be cloudy or overcast. But back comes the rain on Thursday and Friday due to a low pressure trough. Temperatures are forecast to range from 14 to 18 degrees.

A strong cold front will hit the city on Saturday, and will dramatically lowering the mercury down to 9 degrees in the morning, said forecasters.

The low on Sunday is expected to drop to 6 degrees, with the high at 11 degrees. Some good news though — the rain should cease over the weekend.
