Rapists get jail

A man who asked his ex-girlfriend to his house and gang-raped her with his friend was sentenced to 12 years for rape, Jing’an District People’s Court said yesterday. His accomplice was ruled to be jailed for 10 and a half years. Prosecutors said the chief culprit, surnamed Cui, invited the victim, surnamed Yang, to come to his house on March 31. Cui asked her to watch a movie with him and touched her. He then stripped Yang and raped her in another room. He left the room after the rape and his friend, Xie, entered the room and raped her again. Yang called police when she returned to her home and the two were caught at 6am.
