Rare alligators set free

SIX Chinese alligators from a reserve in Anhui Province have been introduced to the Dongtan Wetland in Chongming County, the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau said yesterday. These reptiles have been fitted with radio transmitting so that scientists can track them. The wetland is now home to 12 Chinese alligators now, which is a critically endangered species.
