Rating platform for Internet firms

THE city’s market watchdog yesterday launched an online platform for rating Internet businesses, warning that those receiving negative assessments and fail to improve could be fined.
Online shoppers can rate websites, identify quality problems, and leave detailed comments about their experiences at shwg.dianping.com. The feedback will be collected and analyzed monthly by the Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau.
“The platform will help us to understand how to deal with problems better,” said Li Hong, a bureau official, who added that the annual Single’s Day online shopping frenzy on November 11 is expected to attract much critical input.
