A MAN has been arrested for claiming that a bank in Wuhan, Hubei Province, had gone bankrupt.
According to police, the suspect posted on his Weibo account on November 23 that the Wuhan branch of China Minsheng Bank was penniless. The rumor spread quickly online until the bank issued a statement dismissing the claim. The bank alerted Wuhan police, who arrested the suspect. The case is under investigation.
