Search for abandoned baby鈥檚 mother

A baby boy who was abandoned in Hongkou District by his Vietnamese mother will likely be sent to a local orphanage if his parents don’t claim him within the next 10 days, the government told Shanghai Daily yesterday.
The 12-month-old, who was found in a feeble, malnourished state but has improved significantly, is being cared for at Shanghai TCM-Integrated Hospital.
The baby was found along with a handwritten note from his mother in a serviced apartment on Wuchang Road in April by a neighbor.
The mother’s identity is unknown.
