ALIBABA and Disney have shut down an online streaming service that allowed users to access Disney’s digital content through Alibaba’s set-top boxes.

Alibaba said yesterday it had issued refunds to consumers who had subscribed to the service, but declined to explain why it had been stopped.

The service, called DisneyLife, was launched in December and included Disney and Pixar’s movies, animation and other digital content.
