Sex advertising gets a knock-back
THE Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau has banned sex disease treatment and sex medicine advertisements on taxis, buses and boats in the city.
The ban includes contraceptives and medical equipment, and also covers advertisements featuring female bodies and advertisements for funeral services.
The ban came into effect on February 11 and will stay in place until December 31, 2010.
The bureau has already clamped down on illegal sex disease treatment and sex medicine advertisements on the Internet in 2007.
