Shanghai Daily wins city media awards
SHANGHAI Daily have won three media prizes in this year’s “Silver Dove Awards,” the city’s highest honor for media organizations targeting foreign readership and audiences, which is granted on a biennial basis.
Shanghai Daily won two first prizes and one second prize in this year’s “Silver Dove Awards.”
It won the first prize in the publishing category as a newspaper. The “Corporate Innovation and Social Responsibility Summit” organized by Shanghai Daily also won the first prize in the program category.
Its news story “‘Science City’ to take Shanghai far into the future,” which was published in the Los Angeles Times on May 31, won the second prize in news reporting. The award-winning story was about Shanghai’s plan to build the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in the Pudong New Area into a world-class ‘science city.’
Shanghai Daily was established in October 1999 and is now a leading English-language newspaper in China with its readership from all over the world.
