Over 100 bus lines to be affected by Shanghai International Marathon

ABOUT 130 bus services will be affected by this year’s Shanghai International Marathon, which starts at 7am on Sunday on the Bund.
The route for the main race passes through Huangpu, Jing’an and Xuhui districts, and as a result, bus numbers 20, 56, 167, 454, 864, 1212 and 1222 will all be suspended between the hours of 7am and 1:30pm on Sunday, the transport commission said yesterday.
A further 94 services, including lines 14, 18, 23, 46, will have their routes shortened to avoid the route, while 28 more, including the 15, 37 and 49, will make detours.

Some roads will also be off-limits, and motorists are advised to look out for the detour signs.
