Shanghai aid sent to Gansu

THE Shanghai branch of the Red Cross Society of China sent 1 million yuan (US$148,000) and relief supplies worth 350,000 yuan to Gansu Province yesterday.
The supplies include 100 tents, 1,000 cotton quilts and 500 emergency kits containing more than 20 daily necessities, such as sleeping bags, bowls, chopsticks and flashlights.
