Shanghai flights canceled
A large number of flights between Shanghai and western Japan were canceled yesterday after Typhoon Jebi made landfall in Japan and forced the flooded Kansai airport to close.
China Eastern, Juneyao, Spring and Shanghai Airlines canceled or delayed all their flights to Osaka and Nagoya yesterday. Some domestic flights between Shanghai and coastal Chinese cities have also been affected by Jebi — whose name means “swallow” in Korean.
Spring Airlines has issued safety warnings to travel groups and independent visitors traveling in and around Osaka, the budget carrier said.
