Shanghai is ‘Amazing’ in Milan

A SERIES of events celebrating the culture and style of Shanghai opened yesterday at the Palazzo Morando Costume Moda Immagine in Milan, Italy.
“Amazing Shanghai,” which runs until Saturday, will feature a series of events and activities, including a photography exhibition and a display of Shanghai-style, designed to mark the 35th anniversary of sister-city relations between the two cities.
The photography exhibition includes a display of 160 images of Shanghai from the 2010 World Expo onward, while the fashion show will focus on the iconic qipao, the elegant, figure-hugging dress that epitomizes the chic style of Chinese women in the 1920s.
Milan is to host the 2015 World Expo.
