Shuttle bus kills pedestrian

A Metro shuttle bus knocked down two pedestrians near Yishan Road yesterday morning, killing one and injuring the other, Xinmin.cn reported.

The accident took place at 8:30am when the bus, running between Metro Line 9 Caohejing Hi-tech Park and Hechuan Road stations, struck the victims.

The male passenger was pronounced dead in hospital and the other victim, a female, was undergoing medical treatment, the report said.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated by police, according to the news website.
