Shuttle buses to ease expo congestion
A FLEET of shuttle buses will help make transport to and from the upcoming China International Import Expo easier.
While visitors to the National Exhibition and Convention Center in two weeks can use Metro Line 2 at East Xujing Station and Line 17 at Zhuguang Road Station, they can also take the shuttle buses to and from lines 9, 12 and 13. The buses will operate between 5pm and 8pm.
More buses will be added to the operations of 90 routine routes that operate in the core area around the expo venue.
Another four shuttle bus routes will take visitors to nearby parking lots and Hongqiao business central district.
At Pudong International Airport, a free shuttle bus will take passengers directly to the convention center from 9am to 6pm.
Other shuttle buses will be allocated to some 20 hotels around the city.
And 350 new electric taxis will operate exclusively for the expo.
There will be three pick-up points at P1 parking lot, P5 parking lot and Shenwu Road. Passengers can wait at the points between 3pm to 8pm.
