A sick chef was rescued by a marine bureau ship and taken to hospital as his boat sought shelter at Wusong Dock yesterday.
The Wusong Marine Bureau said they received a message from cargo ship “Xiangyuan No. 16” at 10:15am, saying a chef had acute stomachache and needed medical care. The bureau sent a patrol ship and transferred the chef to shore an hour later.
Shanghai was expected to be hit by tropical storm Fung-Wong last night. Windy conditions have forced the marine authority to suspend the operation of ferries and cargo ships since yesterday morning.
