Startup subsidies
XUHUI District government will allocate 200 million yuan (US$30.5 million) by 2020 to subsidize startups in the district, a senior official said yesterday.
The startups, or professionals working in the district for more than a year, can receive living and housing subsidy from the government after an evaluation, said Wang Hongzhou, deputy district governor. Startups can also apply to compete for several cash awards. The government will also assist professionals applying for local residence permits and medical insurance. Senior officials at startup companies can apply to live in a professional’s apartment for up to five years.
