THE mercury soared to 33.8 degrees Celsius yesterday as the hot season, or “sanfu,” officially started.
Today is expected to be equally hot, and humidity levels are likely to be unpleasant, forecasters said. Tomorrow and Thursday should be quite a bit cooler — under 30 degrees — and the chances of rain will increase as the weekend approaches.
