Store killing

A MAN held in connection with the murder of a grocery store owner in Songjiang District and a robbery at his shop was escorted back to Shanghai yesterday, after being held in Zhejiang Province on Monday, police said. Officers said the suspect is surnamed Chen. The 47-year old victim, surnamed Yang, was a migrant from Fujian Province who opened a store in Shanghai around three years ago. He lived on the second floor above his shop and always worked until 2 to 3am, it was reported. Police advised shop owners whose stores remain open late at night to keep their takings safe and call officers at once if they see any suspicious-looking people.
