Strangler suspect

A MAN alleged to have strangled a 21-year-old woman with a towel and dismembered her body was held within 24 hours of the body being found, police said yesterday. Officers found bags containing body parts on an embankment of the Huangpu River on Monday last week, after nearby residents reported an odor. A man surnamed Qiu, in whose house the victim is believed to have lived, was detained the next day.
