Suspect in death of guards caught
A driver suspected of killing two security guards and injuring six others in the Pudong New Area on Tuesday night was caught yesterday morning, Shanghai police said.
They said the midnight incident was triggered by disputes between the new and old property management companies at the Datangshengshi complex on Yinghua Road. A 53-year-old security guard and his 47-year-old colleague died. One witness said that two groups of men were facing up to each other as if preparing to fight when a Santana was driven at speed toward the new security guards. He said he saw one being knocked into the air. That guard died at the scene, the witness said.
