Suspected food poisoning sends 21 workers to hospital after lunch in canteen

Twenty-one workers of YTO Express suffered suspected food poisoning and were rushed to a hospital yesterday afternoon, xinmin.net reported.

Dozens of staffers began vomiting and experiencing diarrhea after eating lunch in the company's canteen, the report said. Those most sickened were taken to the headquarters of Oriental Hospital after getting primary treatment at the East branch of the same hospital.

By 5pm yesterday, all 21 patients were considered to be out of life-threatening danger, the hospital said. An investigation is under way.
