A taxi driver was detained for dragging a traffic police officer with his vehicle after being stopped for a road offense, police said yesterday.
The driver, surnamed Shen, was asked to pull over and show his license at the intersection of Wanping Road and Hengshan Road in Xuhui District, police said. Shen accelerated suddenly while pretending to look for his license, but stopped after dragging the officer about 50 meters, said police.
