Tip-Off Rewards Up
SHANGHAI is increasing rewards paid to members of the public reporting breaches of food and drug safety laws.
Those making a tip-off could receive between 500 yuan (US$78) and 200,000 yuan, said the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration. The cash will come from the city's coffers. Those offering information can remain anonymous if they choose. The hotline number is 962-727.
