THE Shanghai Trademark Examination Cooperation Center in Xuhui District approved the “WIPO PATENTSCOPE” trademark yesterday. It is the first trademark containing the abbreviation of the World Intellectual Property Organization applied by the organization to be registered in China.
Shanghai is the only city in China that can conduct Madrid International Trademark Registration, a system which receives international trademark registration applications.
