Traffic curbs in force for festival float

TRAFFIC will be restricted in parts of downtown from Thursday to Sunday due to the Shanghai Tourism Festival float parade which starts on Huaihai Road on Saturday night.
Vehicles will be banned on Longmen Road, between Jinling Road M. and Huaihai Road M., from midnight on Wednesday to 5pm on Sunday, police said.
Huaihai Road M., connecting Xizang Road S. and Chongqing Road S., will be off limits from 8:30pm Friday to 1am Saturday. From 5pm to 10:30pm on Saturday, the section of Huaihai Road M. between Xizang Road S. and Huangpi Road S. will be closed. Restrictions will also be in place in Liulin, Pu’an, Taoyuan, Shouning and Wangting roads during the same period.
Huaihai Road M. — between Huangpi Road S. and Shaanxi Road S. — as well as Maoming Road, connecting Nanchang Road and Changle Rooad, will be closed from 6:30pm to 10:30pm on Saturday.
