Treatment for Metro strip man
A MAN who stripped naked on a Metro train and ignored police requests to get off is undergoing psychiatric tests.
The middle-aged man startled fellow passengers by suddenly removing his T-shirt and pants on a Metro Line 2 train about 11:20am on Friday.
Passengers quickly moved away and a photograph posted online showed the naked man sitting calmly alone.
When the train reached Dongchang Road Station in the Pudong New Area, a police officer asked the man to get off, but was ignored.
At the Century Avenue Station, about 10 minutes after his impromptu strip, the nude man was led away by several police officers.
He is now receiving psychiatric evaluation, police said.
His family have been asked to come to the city.
