Two killed as chemicals-tanker truck overturns

A truck carrying toxic chemicals overturned on G1501 Highway in Shanghai this morning, causing a spill of chemical substances and killing two people.
The truck overturned and slammed into roadside greeneries at 4:50am, local media reported. Two people were killed in the accident, whose identities remained unclear at present.
Toxic chemicals poured out from the truck, sending off pungent smell. Police closed some nearby roads for the rescue operation. Traffic was restored at around 8:40am.
The cause of the accident and the composition of the toxic chemical is still under investigation.
