Two men charged with theft

TWO delivery company employees have been charged with embezzlement for stealing goods that were to be delivered to customers, Jiading District People’s Procuratorate said yesterday.
The suspects, driver Sha Min and Zhang Xiaodong, a loading clerk, are accused of stealing a mobile phone worth more than 3,000 yuan (US$440) and two laptops worth 6,000 yuan each. The phone was eventually reported missing. They replaced the computers with bricks in the packaging to make it appear nothing was missing from the outside.
The company called in the police when it suspected something was wrong.
The two face up to a year in jail because of the value of the goods.
