Two men killed, female tenant injured in Putuo District apartment

TWO men were killed and one woman injured in a residential building in Putuo District this morning.
One of the two dead was the owner of the two-room apartment in the neighborhood on Tongchuan Road. The injured woman was his tenant. The identity of the other dead man, who was in his 50s, was still being investigated.
The property owner, surnamed Huang, a Shanghai native in his 50s, was found dead in his apartment around 2am today. Neighbors said they heard noises from the third floor, where the apartment was located, around midnight.
The other man had been seriously injured and walked to the first floor using the stairs, leaving bloodstains the whole way, before falling down dead.
According to a staff member at the building, Huang had just retired and held a retirement income of 3,000 yuan per month. He rented one room out for extra income after his mother’s death. The women injured in the case was his tenant.
A neighbor living downstairs said there had long been suspicious activity at his home. Strangers were always seen gathering at his place, making noise and sometimes having fights. The neighbors were so upset by the disturbances, they said, that they had even thought about moving.
