Virtual reality at centre stage in 2017 NAB Show Shanghai

China’s first city promotional video using virtual reality technology “Our Shanghai” and China’s first VR interactive film “Soul Parasite” made their debuts at the 2017 NAB Show Shanghai.
The show opened yesterday as part of the 23rd Shanghai TV Festival.
Originating in the United States, NAB is an exhibition highlighting global radio broadcasting, film, TV and digital media technologies.
Around 300 companies took part to display their latest technologies and media solutions at Shanghai New International Expo Center.
An official from Noitom, for example, said its product called Trance provided software to speed up and raise the quality of movie production, allowing directors and cinematographers to “immediately visualize their production from the filming stage.”
About 70 speakers from 20 countries at the show will focus on addressing topics such as innovative business models and technological applications to global digital content.
People involved in the production of “Hacksaw Ridge” and “Ironman 2” were invited to share their technological expertise and experience in cinematography, visual stunts and post-production.
