Wall of charity
TWO local women have claimed responsibility for China’s latest “Wall of Kindness,” which appeared recently in Songjiang District. The idea behind the walls is that people use them as a depository for unwanted shoes and clothes, which can then be claimed by people less fortunate. Twentysomethings Zhang Xiaoyan and Zheng Yingyi “opened” their wall at the intersection of Yingze and Rongmei roads shortly before the Spring Festival holiday after seeing a similar project in Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
