Watchdog finds sandals by GAP, C&A substandard

LOCAL consumer watchdog found some sandals produced by GAP and C&A substandard for problems including poor color fastness and peeling strength.
Eleven shoes had flaws among the 30 products checked, the city's consumer protection commission said. They were bought randomly from department stores and franchised store in the city.
A pair of GAP sandals was found to have poor color fastness on its leather, while a pair of C&A shoes failed in peeling strength, color fastness and resistance to abrasion.
The commission had asked the companies involved to improve quality.
